Flexible Schedule
Whether you work in business, science, law, or education, NESE recognizes that as a professional you have very specific needs. Thus, you have a choice of attending our regular intensive program or only attending classes that best suit your specific goals. In addition to our regular intensive program, elective courses and private instruction are options that exist for professionals at NESE.

Excellent Teachers
As a professional you appreciate being taught by professionals. Because of its reputation, NESE is able to attract teachers who hold degrees from Harvard, Yale, Columbia and other top universities. They are highly experienced, with proven teaching abilities. In fact, members of our academic staff are so well respected that they have been asked to provide training for other English teachers.

Free Access to E-Mail and the Internet

NESE understands that, as a professional, you need to stay in constant contact with your office. NESE therefore offers unlimited free access to e-mail and the Internet to all of our students in our computer labs. Students are also welcome to bring their own laptops to make free use of NESE’s wireless Internet connection in any of NESE’s classrooms and lounges.

Classes with Other Professionals
When you first arrive at NESE, you will take a placement test. Although you will be placed into the academic level that will provide you with the fastest learning possible, NESE realizes that this division is not enough. As a result, all classes at NESE are also subdivided according to age. This means that a professional at NESE will therefore have classmates who are similar to him: professionals who want to study in a serious environment that caters to their specific needs.

Designed for Professionals
NESE has a special private executive area within our building for all NESE professionals to meet, relax. and discuss topics relevant to their fields of expertise. This area includes a lounge and a private computer lab with unlimited free access to e-mail allowing easy and frequent communication with home-country offices. This lab is for professionals only.

Activities for Professionals
After class, NESE offers professionals many activities and trips to areas of interest. Our "Professionals Only" Club is one of the most popular activities. This club was designed to provide professionals with additional opportunities to meet classmates who share their interests, attend meetings, and visit companies in Boston. The club often attends lectures at Harvard as well as social events in Boston.

Small Private Professionals-Only Dormitory
Lee Hall is NESE’s closest dormitory and is reserved for professionals only. Each room is fully equipped with a telephone, a microwave, a fridge, a TV and a VCR. In addition, each room has its own private bathroom. Each student is also provided with a bed, dresser, desk, and linens. The housekeeping staff clean the room and bath regularly, and breakfast and dinner are served seven days per week. Lee Hall is spacious and comfortable and has a dining hall, a student lounge, and an out-door patio. Further, Lee Hall is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, with tree-lined streets and beautiful homes, which is part of the Cambridge historic district. Finally, Lee Hall is only a 12-minute walk from NESE, and is also easily accessible by public transportation.

Special Membership at Harvard Square Wellbridge Athletic Club
Although all students at NESE, including NESE’s professionals, can join the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Fitness Center, NESE professional students have an additional option of joining the Wellbridge Athletic Club. Wellbridge is adjacent to the Harvard JFK School of Government and just a three-minute walk from NESE. Wellbridge facilities include a swimming pool, strength training equipment, free weights, and an exercise class studio as well as a whirlpool, steam room, massage therapy, and personal training. Please note that although there is a fee to join Wellbridge, NESE professional students are offered a special discount.

Recognition by Harvard University
The International Tax Program at Harvard University's Law School has chosen NESE to provide additional language training for those students who have not yet received the equivalent of a 580 TOEFL® score. In addition, Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government is also recommending NESE to the families of its own international scholars. NESE is pleased that Harvard recognizes NESE's quality and is proud to have Harvard students among its student body.
